“The Post identified at least 1,800 state and local law enforcement officers who were charged with crimes involving child sexual abuse from 2005 through 2022.”
It's staggering just how deeply ingrained this type of abuse appears to be.
How is it possible that it's taken centuries to surface this behaviour and how is it possible that it's not been eradicated root and branch by now?
What's it going to take to stop this once and for all, forever?
Sorry to say but the US isn’t just a failed but even more so a totally fucked up society. But then again nothing else to expect from a pure capitalistic system like the American one.
assuming 1 instance per cop (which is a wild underestimate; most sexual predators are serial offenders), that amounts to once every 2.8 days a cop sexually abuses a child
Fake news!!!! Too many white faces for it to be true, we don't do things like that.
The police photographer must have used a very strong flash to make all these black and asians look whiter.
How much larger of a percentage are abusers in the police force vs overall population? The job must draw people that would want authority to commit these acts.
“The Post surfaced cases in which officers were accused in police reports of sexual contact with minors but were charged only with non-sex crimes such as simple assault or official misconduct.”
