I really wanted to make strawberry jam this year, but the season was short and the best berries came out during the heat wave. My next shot will be raspberry jam in the next week or so - I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

Washington does not care about fireworks. In fact, he gets super happy. We think in his previous life he was training to be a gun dog. I, however, would prefer we just let professionals handle that at least a mile away from me. Not next door.

We've been on the water for several hours. Husband has caught exactly one fish, which was an invasive species that we needed then to figure out how to bring home and dispose of. I know fishing isn't always the same as catching but this is impressive.

I finished the Elements of Cadence duology. It was fine, good. Very Scottish, lots of far. The second book was just a slow read for me and I feel like there are a bunch of loose ends. But it was lovely and it's set is a beautiful world.

Yes, but here in NY he's been endorsed and our delegates have been assigned to him. The process (here) starts in like January. If we wanted another candidate that should have happened last fall before all of the processes started.
