I reread HEARTBURN recently and realized the Bernstein character's name is Mark Feldman (which he insisted be changed for the movie adaptation). She really was telling us all the time.

I used to be Woodward > Bernstein because of sheer loyalty to Ephron but then I saw him in the documentary his son made about her life and he really fucking loved that woman until the day she died, plus then Woodward’s Republican brain worms have multiplied in the years since, so I switched teams
