again: you do not need to approve of the Columbia administration's actions since last week (which have been an authoritarian clusterfuck from start to finish) to acknowledge that there are in fact some bad / illiberal / high need for chaos actors in the mix here and that they need to be called out
Two points: 1) where are our “free speech warriors” when these protestors rights are being violated? 2) the radical academic left, especially in the humanities, has a serious antisemitism problem.
Its been this way since the drop. Anti-jew\democracy clawing at the lead in this, and anti-muslim\anti-democracy clawing at the other.
Problem is alot of people never look around to check if the choir their singing in changed from time to time.
Peaceful protests are constantly infiltrated by agitators seeking to delegitimize them with violence.
The media's responsibility is to *identify* who is doing what, not to make people apologize for or explain the bad behavior of someone else.
But Christopher, I've been assured by people who think you should ignore the anti-semitism that the anti-semitism is actually coming from Jews disguised as non-Jews, which is why it's ok to ignore the anti-semitism.
