It’s kinda cool how Got-Got doesn’t turn a hair, and just carries on eating when I turn the kitchen light out. (Even though I provided her with a motion activated under cabinet light, it takes maybe 5-10 sec to kick in) I don’t think humans are so equitable in similar circumstances.

I found a bag of Mediterranean veg in the freezer, so I’ve bunged that in the oven with a big bulb of garlic, rosemary and oregano, and a bit of olive oil. That will be a lot healthier than just a couple of salami rolls.

Who knows? My teeth are wrecked anyway from a mixture of inhaled steroid and the acidic lemon water I drink constantly. It’s touch and go on which is going to see the other out.. my teeth or my body. 😹😹

Cooking is just about the only thing I do these days. I am determined to keep myself out the hands of the doctors, for as long as possible. If I cook myself, I can keep a handle on my blood sugar and blood pressure.

I vaguely wondered why I couldn’t quite make sense of the cop show on the radio, then realised it was in Afrikaans! Lol, it’s over 30 yrs since I spoke it, and pretty badly at that. 😹😹 The TV repair co. that I worked for liked to post me in Afrikaans towns, where I had to attempt tech explanations.

All ready to start cooking. It’s a bit early though, I’m also waiting for my new slippers (which are coming via “The Delivery Group” that I’ve not heard of), so can’t shower either until they come. I’m also a bit hesitant to shower when the kids are out playing, silly i know, they can’t see me!

I’ve decided on fried chicken (yes, I eat an awful lot of chicken) with a creamy lemon sauce. I had thought of avgolemono sauce, but that’s a pain in the arse to separate the eggs, and it doesn’t keep for later.

I don’t feed them unless they are there, there’s a few residents that get pissed off by them, and say the food draws vermin. Which it no doubt would, if I left it laying around like the morons who throw a 1/2 loaf of bread out. All the rodents I’ve seen are in the bin room that looks like a midden.
