Don't forget to vote in your local elections for a former cop, an active cop, a cop's wife, the incumbent former cop, a guy currently on parole for triple murder who has the same name as a local sportscaster, or the most unhinged person you've ever seen post about reptilians on Facebook
People think stuff like this is a joke but one leading option on the local ballot is a cop who got caught breaking into a rival's office (also a cop) and begged for forgiveness saying the devil compelled him to do it www.fox5atlanta.com/news/hidden-...
Every local small town election Iโve voted in my whole life is between a boring yet knowledgeable Democrat and an unhinged Republican and the Republican always wins.
i keep thinking about when hunter s thompson ran for sheriff in aspen and the dems & republicans dropped all pretenses and banded together to make sure he lost. and not many of the locals thought it was weird or bad????
Yeah local elections are indeed as important as many people love to reminds they are, but theyโre also pretty easy to buy and/or keep inside the network of people plugged into the local elite, what with the low turnout, the nonexistent news coverage, frequently uncontested candidaciesโฆ
On local electoral candidate registration forms do they have a multiple choice question about 'what kind of cop are you' and the last option is 'other kind of cop, please explain'?
Yeah. I said it the other day: I just love going to vote in the local election and parsing out who is the least worst Republican.
For some of us, the typical ballot is shit from top to bottom. ๐คทโโ๏ธ๐ซ
It's inescapable. Local town council member ran for reelection last year. Mostly standard stuff on her mailer... Except "Update police recruitment standards" which seemed out of place. Turns out her son didn't make the cut!
