The Dems are not going to come up with an alternative viable candidate in a month that satisfies everyone’s purity test. That’s fantasy. They could Weekend at Bernie’s that man and I would still vote for him. He’s been the most progressive president of my lifetime.

I don’t understand why everyone is so hysterical over one bad debate? Hilary won all three debates and consistently polled higher numbers than Trump and she lost to him anyway so who cares about debates or polls (answer: clearly not the electorate given the above mentioned facts).

Idk man, I live in a trump county and the second the verdict dropped no one cared. They all assumed it was a democrat conspiracy from the beginning so… We Dems celebrated quietly and the Rs around us didn’t even notice the verdict.

Thank you! Every retirement community I’ve seen looks like Club Med and I do not understand the Olds that don’t want to go there. Cook for me, clean for me, provide a schedule of entertainment, find me friends! Retirement communities sound like a reward for working my whole life.

If someone can pass you on the right you do not belong in the lane that you are in. That said, yes Tesla drivers suck. But the fastest car should be in the passing lane. Cars wouldn’t have to weave in and out of traffic if people just followed that simple rule.

What worries me is that my kids (both late teens) do not see their phone/email as any kind of usable object for anything other than social media connecting with friends. They’ve literally never seen email, phone or text be anything but spam and have no concept of it as a usable technology.

As far as I know the only thing that guarantees a certain electoral outcome is to be an incumbent during a declared war. In the history of the US no sitting president has not won re-election during war time. Otherwise all bets are off.

I live in upstate NY and one guy had an Obama sign and it kept getting shot up. As soon as he’d replace it, riddled with bullet holes the next day. And no one gave a shit. I admired his courage, especially because no one in authority (all R) gave a crap.

I live in gop territory. There are a few moderate republicans I know (all with college degrees) who voted for Biden instead of Trump bc they do Not see problems with the Republican Party but they do think Trump is an isolated embarrassment.

It is. I run the library. I am responsible for its tax rolls. This is the way libraries are run outside of major cities. The budget is divided up by the homeowners in their property taxes (unless you’re a school library and then it comes out of your school taxes).

Okay but everyone needs to understand that their property taxes are not going down. They’re just going to lose a day of service and pay the same amount of money. So the 8 employees of the library see a benefit but the 9,000 homeowners experience a loss.

I just need everyone to realize that taxes are going to skyrocket. Unless we cut the hours the library is open, fire dept, county offices etc, we will have to hire more staff to cover the people who are out. I’m fine with that but it’s already hard enough to get public budgets passed.

It was when I started working union. All these older shite middle managers around me. They just told me put my time in and when it was my turn (seniority) I’d be promoted. I got out of there as soon as I found a private company that promoted based on skill. There has to be a middle ground somewhere.

I think I saw a guy like this on SNL last night. Didn’t know who he was but he was painfully unfunny and he looked uncomfortable telling his mean jokes and I went online to see what everyone else thought and it was just a bunch of guys excited he said Retarded. Poor guy was Dr Frankenstein.

It might seem awkward to you bc you’re a guy? My first gyno visit with his hand up my vagina as a teenager I was very happy there was a nurse in the room by default and that I didn’t need to ask for one (wouldn’t have known too). Makes it seem formal and official and medical.

I would just like everyone to know that even those without adhd use an oven timer. And even those without adhd need post it notes to remember things. Almost no one remembers where they parked. Not everything is adhd related! Some of it is just “too much shit going on”.

Also this worry seems very white centric. The most talked about part of the performance after the Super Bowl half time show (other than roller skates) was how amazing the guitar solo was. It was performed by H. E. R., a black woman, and it was a central part of the performance.
