absolutely this. I feel like part of The Bear's magic was its incredible grasp of cacophony and great dialogue, and the weak writing of 1:1 convos (along with undoing all of the character development from S1/2) really hurt it. Jamie Lee Curtis, on the other hand... 🤩🤩🤩

the article du jour that unleashes all of my latent project envy is this wonderful piece on Gab, which I will absolutely assign in my critical internet studies class: escholarship.org/content/qt8k...

there is something so delicious and yet slightly crushing about reading an article that articulates *exactly* what you've been thinking about and goes even farther with the analysis 😮‍💨

Calling Elon Musk an idiot is fucking garbage. That word was used to institutionalize folks, sterilize folks, and murder folks all in the name of eugenics and getting rid of people who were undesirable in “mainstream society.” Most people don’t know or care about that because ableism has made it ok.

I love watching The Bear but somehow all of season 3 seems dead set on erasing any character development from the last two seasons??

ahh this is unbelievably cool (and thanks for sharing)! in your "to watch" list I'll say that I *love* Abbott Elementary, which my partner thinks is so-so but it serves the same purpose to me as Parks and Rec seems to do for others -- a kind of predictable comfort watch

thank you 🥰 I think I watched one episode a loooong time ago and didn't get into it since it was on an airplane or something? I will say, the fact that it was set in West Covina sent me (as someone who grew up reaaaallly close and went there at least once a week).

as someone who bikes to MIT most days of the week, this is absolutely devastating and shakes me to my core. if there are bike advocacy groups in the Camberville / Medford area that you'd recommend, please let me know -- we need much better biking infrastructure.

at a symposium rn and it's so clear that each presentation has been practiced multiple times over and the analysis is so sharp! I think this is a credit to each of the students themselves but also there is a raw enthusiasm that makes me so much more excited to do research
