Disney's approach to Star Wars and Marvel is not so much killing the goose that lays golden eggs by chopping it in half as it is killing it by force-feeding it, trying to make golden foie gras.
Because Disney has acquired IP's it's allowed to both of them to become morbidly obese and suffer as a result of that.
If they were just left alone to operate separately, chances are they wouldn't be in such terrible shape that they're in.
Because Disney's mass bleeding has caused so much damage
The narrative of Disney exerting corporate control over Marvel is laughable tbh. The 2 best-reviewed productions in Marvel Studios history released within the last 2 years ('97 & Ms. Marvel), and each of them is very obviously a product of passionate creators who love the material.
