Okay, the game has redeemed itself by doubling the amount of characters in each battle and throwing a barrage of systems at me so now it doesn’t feel like I’m just standing around doing nothing all the time. The cutscene issue def still there but more bearable now.

I beat the Star Ocean remake over the weekend and after searching for a new JRPG to obsess over I landed on Xenoblade 3. It looks good when playing docked and I find the story interesting enough. But the combination of the (so far) monotonous combat and deluge of cutscenes is making it a slog.
