I still haven’t seen or heard of this bribery decision through any news source, just on here. I thought the news about Chevron was relatively niche (in my textbook as a first-year MPP student) but even that has got more mainstream attention.

They did away with bribing officials by making officials as superfluous as Krusty the clowns third nipple. The only people in the government rich people need to convince are the Justices, the bribing just got much more efficient

It’s why coming from a non tipping culture - I’m uncomfortable with tipping. ( but do in US) Enables shit pay for workers & establishes a quid pro quo between worker & customer. Instead of genuine engagement. It what point does gratuity become a bribe. In Nz though we dance the kickback line.
