Have you had any trouble with getting stuff taken down before? I've seen and bought items from tons of Zelda fanartists in their various shops without issue myself! Though if you're worried, I've seen some folks be more vague in listing names, like if you called your print "Hero and Princess".

Fair enough! I'd say just be sure that you do what you consider $10 worth of work for each, and not like... $50 worth lol. Cheap comms don't have to be bad, but you have to make sure that in exchange, your time investment is fair to you! I've fallen into the "overworking cheap comms" hole before. π

I severely underestimated just how cathartic drawing a character with intentionally disjointed body horror anatomy would be for me... Being able to work with mostly gesture and not having to worry about uneven or broken looking limbs was SO FUN!

And, similarly, pointing out the most important aspects of a character is helpful. Obviously refsheets are meant to capture exactly how the character should look, but especially if a refsheet is stylized, it can be helpful to point out any features that should always be followed regardless of style.

Everyone's pointed out the best ones, but an uncommon one that I've always appreciated are refsheets that mention if there's anything that can be left up to artist interpretation! For example, aspects of complex tattoos or body markings that I can simplify or stylize.

Yeeeeah, agreed. There's a lot of cool sites trying their damnedest to make it work, but they can't do it for free. I've been so pleased to see Pillowfort actually maintain the monthly revenue it needs to stay online, even if it's a bit by the skin of its teeth some months!
