Communications tip: don't say "Project 2025" say "Trump's Project 2025." He's trying to run away from it, tie it to his neck like an anchor by making the words "Project 2025" naturally follow the word "Trump" in people's heads.

I found Funny Boy's descriptions of the compromises and cautions its characters make in a time of creeping authoritarianism and minority persecution to be distressingly relatable, in a way they wouldn't have been even a few years ago 😟

Just finished Funny Boy by Shyam Selvadurai, which I loved — a tale of growing up queer and Tamil in Sri Lanka in a time of deepening racial tension. Deeply engaging (I finished it in days) and definitely recommended!

The fellowship has produced some of the biggest names in comedy, at The Onion and elsewhere.
It was a casualty private equity. We are reviving it.

Also re: Mastodon, for people who depended on Twitter professionally, the distributed implementation creates real risk—Mastodon servers can (did!) get shut down abruptly by their often opaque admins and you can't move your posts. (Hence perhaps the pref for large/org-run instances?)
