I wanted to bring to the skyline's attention the plight of writer Arundhati Roy who wrote a banger novel that won the Booker & has written & spoken politically in the decades sense. She's facing severe persecution in India.

I suspect US journalists would care more if they saw Palestinian journalists as journalists, but the dominant narrative has been to imply that they aren't. The number of journalists Israel has killed since October is 107 btw the most in CPJ record keeping since 1992

We’re not. Louisiana is a full study in voter suppression. This race had about a 32% turnout. There were several only-Republican options on the ballot. And the “democrats” who run are actually hand-picked republicans, most of whom just change their registration to run. We *do not* have choices here

I've skeeted this before but in 1969 *armed* students took over Cornell's student center on *parents* weekend. Not only was it settled amicably but the students won. You can't divorce what happened at Columbia from the reports about billionaires influence
