pro tip: a certain social media site... prevents bluesky links for generating link previews. 🤔 this is one reason why you can download the preview image directly, so you can upload it yourself. since images convey more & are more visible than a shortened link when you're scrolling

📢 1.87 is rolling out now (2/4) Sometimes a thread gets too heated. Now you can lock a thread retroactively so that only the people you specify (or nobody!) can reply. Also: muting a thread now works more reliably.

for now they still show up in my comments section, but if you try to click through to the comment on bsky, it's hidden until you login good flag though, i may add a check to not show those comments in the first place

it actually saves me effort -- bluesky's moderation handles the majority of it, and then i could easily just block people from within the bsky app. adding a check for labels on top of that would prob just be a couple lines of code :)

blocked users + deleted comments won't show up on my blog, and posts that bluesky's moderation team takes down won't show up either i could add logic to not show any post that has any label on it, but i figured that was a bit too stringent for my preference
