And this is a passage from The Last Shield by Cameron Johnston that I'm reading an ARC of and yes... He gets it.

Look here, Cameron, you are just about to finish the first draft of your latest WiP and now is not the time to think up a shiny new project, however marvellous is seems! Tsk.

Noo, you dip the end of the sandwich it in, then stuff it in your face before that thick gravy drips everywhere. But yes, napkins necessary, and wet wipes for your hands after are strongly advised.

Eating this bad boy of a beef sandwich, complete with pot of hot dipping gravy. Things are about to get...messy.

I really loved Harrow County. I loved the artwork and all those very inhuman characters showed heaps of emotion.

The book is definitely not always better - The Iron Giant for example. The LoTR movies were truly excellent, and cut out a lot of slow pacing issues I had with the books.

It really is a classic. That film gets a watch every year in this household.

That is a good one too, but I think @kjcharleswriter.com might just take the cake with Sherlock Holmes.

You are right, there are so many localised adaptions, every country having their own unique version. It's marvellous.

Absolutely, there are SO many takes on Sherlock!
It appears there has been Romeo and Juliet board and card games, but I'd wager good money the Sherlock Holmes ones are far superior.

What do you all think is the most successful book to TV/film/theatre adaption? (using whatever criteria you like)
It surely has to be Romeo and Juliet - William Shakespeare produced a few adaptions of Italian novellas but that has to be the most famous.
