Basically, a friend of mine I pined after for a long time broke my heart. I was so devastated by it that I felt I had to write this film to process it. Such sapphic feelings and yearning, in hindsight. A shame that I cast a man to convey them.

I wrote this film before I knew I was trans, produced it about two months after my egg cracked, finished it and put it out to festivals while I was transitioning. It took a year and a half of transition before I could get my name fixed in the credits. And now it's out finally out there.
