We have a two-tier verandah: the top one is outside our living room, the bottom one is outside the spare room. I have been reading and it has taken me far too long to get that "official acts" will be anything Republican presidents do. Democrat presidents can't be dictators even if they want to, because the SCOTUS will just say "soz, not an official act".

Something to lighten the mood slightly: another of my mother's many malapropisms. Today she said she saw someone on Bill Maher who was "a very strange comedian called Diddly Squat" It took me like 15 minutes to work out she was talking about Martin Short's alter ego Jiminy Glick 😀

I downloaded Speechify so I could do some work reading while I was filing because I am a multitasker. The reo pronunciations are terrible unless it is reading whole paragraphs, when the reader decides they are reading Japanese and the vowels and stresses suddenly become recognisable. Wacky
