I'm really not sure, but my instinct suggests he admit that he had the best intentions of protecting our democracy from Trump, but the campaign made him realize that the physical demands are too high for him to continue governing and campaigning. He should release his delegates to VP Harris.

I agree - there's no easy answer. I'm not sure that there's any way that the case for withdrawing Biden can be made that doesn't sound unhinged. But I also am fairly confident he is going to lose the election. There's likely a sizeable group that is being vocal to be able to say "I told you so."

IMO, if there's a single ideology that threatens higher education, it is excessive managerial corporatism. The idea that everything produced by a university must be measured, incentivized and market-driven is contributing to a crisis of confidence - both internally and externally.
