There's also a thing where disabled streamers in general are less likely to have people come in. And people can say it's not ableism but it is. We are already at a disadvantage. I used to have averages between 12 and 20 usually. That was where I stayed most of the time.

Through my childhood, on election nights, my dad was the man under Peter Snow’s desk putting interesting facts on notecards into his socks. That’s how it was done before Google, kids. You got a very clever ASD man with some Oxford degrees to just remember interesting constituency histories.

At a pride event today, a young queer person came up to our table, started to take one of our pride tote bags, and then put it down and sheepishly said "I can't. My parents will catch me." About twenty minutes later they rushed back up, grabbed it, and said "Dammit, it's cute and I want it!"

There are also other forms of communication, such as the language used by Deaf/Blind folks (which can be more like sign language in the palm of your hand), which is accessible to more people, including those with mobility issues.

We got tricked by science fiction into thinking a futuristic city is all about flying cars and crystal towers and hologram billboards but what it really looks like is nice apartment blocks, good mass transit, pedestrian zones with shade trees and safe bike lanes.
