I truly believe that part of the problem is that few journalists can grasp the scale of this economic shift or its implications. I think it might be somewhat true of a lot of Biden's accomplishments because so many of them involve doing relatively low-key things at massive scale

This goes to the thesis that no event, no matter how horrible, will shift Republican positions on any issue. Not gun violence. Not pregnant people dying for lack of care. Not war. Not cop killings. And not climate change. It's a liberating perspective, bc the answer is: Fix things. Help people.
