Well, confirmation that next stage of house renovation starts at the end of July. For August we'll be a construction site, but then hopefully all shiny and fixed ready for cosy season... 🤞🏻 It is pretty terrifying, but trying to stay hopeful!

A bit of promo as reaching readers becomes increasingly difficult. My current contemporary fantasy series is inspired by British myth and folklore. Dan Mackmain is mostly human, but he is a dryad's son, so the Green Man sends him to solve problems when the mundane and the uncanny collide.

House update: electrics done and safe! Fantastic repairman and lady, nowhere near as much damage as anticipated. A week of stress means rest now before the next stage at the end of the month... Pups had the best time in kennels but are also exhausted. Naps are the way 😊

Yesterday my brain had a breakdown and insisted I needed to be unalive. I made myself safe, took medication and am exhausted but ok right now.

Good news: full house rewiring may not be required! Electricians say fixing to make things safe is a better solution, costs a lot less and takes just a few days! 🤞🏻it goes smoothly, but we'll be so relieved if the house gets a metaphorical stent rather than a full transplant!

In the last four days, a large portion of our Stuff (a LOT of books!) has gone into storage prior to house rewiring/replastering. We're exhausted. Himself is ill. There have been tears. But we are getting through and keeping everything crossed that it's all worth it 🙏🏻
