Surprise! That game with a content warning for being horrible and difficult is horrible and difficult. Fear and Hunger 2: Termina is the game. It's actually my kind of horrible, and I expected to die often but apparently am not in the mood for it...so it is back to writing now. >.>

My birthday begins in five minutes and, like the responsible adult I definitely am, I'm staying up all night to write about this self-loathing slutty middle aged vampire. The plumbers coming tomorrow will just have to deal with my sleep deprived ass's lack of regard for social niceties.

I got sidetracked into the series Before Deluca ties into because I guess my brain wants to torture an already big sad vampire instead of writing the romantic and adorable moments leading up to the trauma that makes him that way? I dunno. But I'm having fun and cannot stop.

I convinced myself that it wasn't real, because 'androgynous' was the word I knew and I am a pedant. But the ones in my novella just kind of happened at me, unintentionally rewriting my thinking. It's easier to understand now. So, maybe we just need more stories to make it common enough?

I have characters referred to as they/them and it/its, respectively. So far I've seen"he/him" used for both when anyone mentions them, despite clear language in the text that they don't care for gendered terms. It's not an easy thing for people to grasp. We've been trained to think in binary.

Writing is the easy part. It is the editing, the cover design/creation, the getting someone to see if you wrote the most laughable phrases in a language you don't know, and then the marketing that is eternal torment.

I know, and it's easier to tell on here. Since no one uses that feature. It is less easy to tell on tumblr, where they've made a whole blog for just that with pictures and everything, or when they text my actual phone somehow and try to talk like a person.

#beforedeluca is a vampire romance/horror (because I can't keep the horror out of anything)
I have also inexplicably started the series Before Deluca ties into, which is mystery/detective. With romance and vampires and horror...and a narrator who likes to make fun of the characters.
