Is anyone editing on a Mac Studio? I am looking at getting the basic model, (Apple M2 Max with 12‑core CPU, 30‑core GPU, 16‑core Neural Engine) with 64 gigs of RAM for working in Resolve and Premiere. Does anyone have thoughts or experience to share on working with this computer? #postchat

funny, sad, and true story: I bought my 89 year old mother a new computer, a Mac Mini, to replace her ancient PC. I remoted in to make sure all was ok and couldn't connect. when I asked her, she said she returned it because she couldn't find Internet Explorer to get on AOL

I don't get this trend of job posters asking you to make a video explaining why you're a good fit for the job. I'm an editor, not an on-camera spokesperson. my CV & portfolio should tell you whether or not I'm qualified. Or, how about a quick Zoom call if my looks are that important?

I'm not a fan of AI-generated video as it's still very far from being practical AND it WILL take jobs BUT I decided to put part of a script I'm working on into LTX Studio, and while the results were not close, they were in the ballpark. It even gave me a pitch deck which on its own is very useful.
