Thematically, I want to recommend this really fun documentary about an obscenely dangerous amusement and water park that was in New Jersey.

Is this recommendation because many people who watched can girls have jobs also saw serial mom? If so, is the algorithm reinforcing this by recommending the same pairings (so viewers more often then not end up watching them)?

Netflix just put a bunch of comedies late 80's early 90's comedies in the vein of "Can a GIRL have a JOB?!" & "This MAN has to PARENT can you believe it?!" into my recs cuz I liked a movie called Serial Mom. A John Waters film that dares ask "Can a MOM murder everyone in her suburban town?!?"

a matter of personal taste, it did organically fit the rest of the film.

Google’s emissions are up 48% in 5 years. Microsoft’s are up 30% since 2020. Those soaring figures are being driven by mass investments in data centers to power AI tools. Generative AI is a climate disaster and data center expansion must be stopped.

My birthday, today. Yah, I suppose. Splurged on food. Wished myself happy birthday while eating my chocolate mousse dessert alone and almost started crying. I’m wonderful, but my life is absolutely f***** by health issues and is nothing to celebrate. My body is 41, but I’ve not lived those years.

Thank you, Emily 💜 The burger was tasty and I've learned that I perhaps like pickles! The chocolate mousse was quite good. I might watch I Saw the TV Glow tonight, some friends have been wanting me to see it and will pay for the rental.

I can't remember in my entire lifetime any of the major media sources criticizing candidates or incumbents on virtues of what they're doing. "Read my lips" and "Potato" got more coverage than the fact Bush I was a fucking tire fire. This is just buffoonery. This is a self-important circus.

When folks argue that a Universal Basic Income would deter working, think about those million-dollar CEOs. If a modest $15k is enough to make one quit working, wouldn’t multi-million dollar packages make CEOs practically comatose? Yet, here they are, still CEOing. Weird isn't it?

As a woman, I hate that I was born with a male body. I hate that my body was further deformed by T puberty. I hate that I never existed as a child/teen/20 something/etc. I hate this existentially horrific birth defect that stole my body and my life from me. There's a tear within me that cannot heal.

See, that's a nice fantasy... but that would probably start a civil war. The Heritage Foundation guys? Nobody but their people gives a fuck about them. The country as a whole wouldn't bat an eyelash. No torches or pitchforks. No armed marches in the streets. Fox News would shriek, sure...

His deal is that he brings all sorts of things to his human, and vocalizes a lot. He'll even pull paper off the fridge and deliver it. His human maybe noticed his proclivity for bringing things and trained him up for it.

Today is a rough, scary day. It's hard to feel helpless. So when I do, I try to do something good, however small.

My friend Ryan lost his job while caregiving for his mother, who has undergone chemo & a quadruple bypass.

Can u share & donate if u can? ❤️
