exactly, like, this was me and then the *exact group of women I had been pointing to* all came out and said they had been abused & assaulted by a co-star, pressured to keep working with him and do stuff they didn't want to do, etc. I'm not sure how it wasn't a mass wake-up call but. it wasn't.

I find hyperrealistic horrible books, movies etc, to be, well, Horrible. they make me feel horrible. I don’t think it’s valueless in art but I don’t find it entertaining, and I certainly don’t seek out a lot of it bc then I would feel Horrible all the time, OR it would eventually stop bothering me/
