Dunno who remembers Grow Home, but its sequel Grow Up is pretty fun. You get a whole sphere of a planet to explore and the freedom of movement you get late game is extremely satisfying. Currently on sale for less than the price of a coffee at Dunkin

Whisker Squadron is fun. It looks similar to Star Fox but feels different to play which is fine because it's fun in its own way. Cool visuals and tunes and a campaign story featuring anti capitalist cats. A little light on content but it's early access so 🤷♀️

Windows is really, blatantly bad now so I know it's more than just nostalgia (but definitely big time nostalgia nonetheless) when I get delightful vibes from stuff like this from a time when Windows was a new and exciting thing. Also really neat to see how much 95 changed during development.

I'm not a Christian. But I was raised a Jehovah's Witness so I know stuff about the Bible. And I think it's actually pretty cool to think about how literally the only people Jesus ever actually raged at were capitalists and highly controlling religious leaders.

I used to think rabbit and hare meant the same thing and didn't know the difference until a couple years ago when I researched stuff for my harefolk in a DnD campaign and then one of his traits became yelling at the other characters when they called him a rabbit. And yeah hares are freakin awesome!

Someone I'm close to hates surprises and likes to spoil things for herself before she goes into it so I know that is a thing that works better for some people. Me, on the other hand, I like to keep guessing, or I want to solve video game puzzles on my own. One size doesn't fit all!

Getting upset about "spoilers" of things that are on the box art is definitely extreme. I don't think it's invalid to want to go into an experience as spoiler free as possible. Surprise is a valid part of the experience to a lot of people and ruining the surprise is something that can't be undone.

I don't disagree with your suggestion, but Nintendo is the one who published Bayonetta 2 so that example is kinda iffy. Your point still stands though (e.g. Link in Soul Calibur II... I'm sure there's a more recent example I'm overlooking)

I agree 100% and will take it further. If the "intended experience" ends up simply being not for you, you're within your rights to use mods that turn the game into an experience that IS for you. This includes mods that make the game easier. It literally harms no one else's experience.

I can think of lots of characters who it MIGHT apply to, but those topics just aren't present in the story so it's just me speculating vs ace actually being represented. In Stars and Time has actual representation for both asexuality and aromanticism and I love the way it was executed.

Last night I learned that the voice actor who plays Rambley the Raccoon from Indigo Park streamed himself playing the game and he has a lil otter avatar and everything about it is just so cute and wonderful. Also apparently Rambley is his biggest role by far and that makes me so happy for him.

I didn't play the other two but Lost Odyssey was incredible! 😮 The battle animations dragged on a bit, but otherwise it was such a wonderful experience with a beautiful score to boot! Hope they deem it worthy of a remaster one of these days

I always liked to think of Sekiro bosses as like... trying to crack a code or brute force a password. "Welp, that particular sequence of movements got me killed, let me adjust a bit and try again," etc etc. And then when you figure it out, it's like the boss fight turns into a sick dance routine. 😂
