I think about this a lot and it’s really distressing
Also another reason why I loathe the “westerners aren’t breeding fast enough” hand-wringing.
Well, we may very well need to take in a lot more people soon so they don’t die horrible heat-induced deaths.
CNN had a breathless headline (I did not click thru) yesterday that our low birthrate is a crisis. They used that word.
It's ridiculous. There are plenty of humans still being born on this earth. Like most things, if this is even a problem, then it's one of distribution.
We need more...
heat-induced deaths, a return of famine (from drought) as a constant global pressure driving hoarding at a local level globally, empowered warlord sickos taking advantage of the situation to take control and begin their own "purges"
globally, sliding back 40-100 years in terms of human rights
I thought it was hilarious Trump deflected the climate change question to migrants I mean if you really hate migrants you ought to be pretty concerned about climate change, but I guess if your goal is to transform America into a fascist fortress(?)
I appreciate your perspective of "needing to take in people" because I think that fundamental desire to prevent seeing everyone around you become dust is something I think every billionaire lacks
