I think about this a lot and it’s really distressing Also another reason why I loathe the “westerners aren’t breeding fast enough” hand-wringing. Well, we may very well need to take in a lot more people soon so they don’t die horrible heat-induced deaths.

CNN had a breathless headline (I did not click thru) yesterday that our low birthrate is a crisis. They used that word. It's ridiculous. There are plenty of humans still being born on this earth. Like most things, if this is even a problem, then it's one of distribution. We need more...
