I am either shadowbanned on this site, or many racist/Islamophobic influencers and zi0nists have put me so many blocklists blindly subscribed/followed by others, esp newcomers, that my posts are hardly seen by many. This is discourages me from staying here or posting more often. Advice?

IIRC this site doesn't shadowban. All blocks are public and you can use clearsky to see what lists you're on. Engagement wavers here quite a bit outside the core communities who are committed to this as their primary social media discussion platform.

Social media sites admit throwing a lot of people in the "spam" bin if they're associated with various tags. I'd contact their help desk and see if that's what is happening. The block lists are foul, used for harassment and if we block the creator we shouldn't be on them.

My engagement ebbs and flows a fair amount here. I repost at different times of day and that definitely helps. Since there's no algorithm to boost posts it's very easy to miss people you want to see. There isn't any shadowbanning but I know a lot of people are having trouble getting seen lately

I actually thought that you'd been away. I was going to say that you are missed when away, but I guess you haven't been away. For what it's worth, I miss your posts when I don't see them, whatever the reason. I will say I find it harder & harder to work BS's algorithm. It's different than it was.

The fact that I had more reach a year ago & now I see folks I know get the same reach but mine is a fraction of it shows me there is something going on. Many misuse block & mute lists, blindly applied by others, so that’s part of the problem. Many women of color & anti-genocide folks have left here
