The best city on earth! (I may be biased.) I don't know how long you will be here, but if you have time I highly recommend the (free) concerts in Millennium Park. They bill themselves as "Chicago at its best," and they're not wrong.

FFS, Biden already has a second in command who 81,283,501 voted for on the ticket four years ago. I'm willing to entertain arguments that some other politician might be a better choice, but not an old rich white guy with no political experience.

It's still true. John List is giving the convocation address this year. There is a Class Day for the College the day before convocation, and Anna Chlumsky (who is an alum) is the speaker for that this year.

The answer is clearly assigning podcasts. Specifically, my podcasts. 😂 No, I don't know. I'm grateful that my kids (ages 12 and 9) are voracious readers, but even they have a lot of competing claims on their attention and read less than I did at their ages.

Nancy Bristow has a terrific -- and engaging -- book on Jackson State that I encourage everyone to read. I interviewed her a few years ago and couldn't believe how much Kent State overshadowed Jackson State, even at the time.
