I used to think the Umbrella Corporation was silly, but I've come to assume that all the bizarre stuff they were doing that had little potential to be profitable was just the jingling keys necessary to keep dumbass investors on board, and it got out of hand.

Yes, apparently the studies lumped alcoholics who stopped drinking because health issues as "abstainers" along with people who never drank.

About how old were your in-laws? An article that I had just read stated that most of the studies looking at health benefits of alcohol focused on men who were over 50. That article said that most people who die from alcohol related issues do so before they reach their 50s.

High levels of alcohol use are linked with deterioration of the brain including early dementia. That can still be cause for concern even if your life span does not drastically change.

Alcohol is less dangerous? Everything that I had read prior claimed that moderate drinking was beneficial so even if this does not seem like a huge danger, it does mean that one suggest that people start drinking in order to gain health benefits

If people do not want Trump to win then the best thing to do would be for them all to come together and support the ticket that was chosen in the primaries. In other words, stop attacking Biden and support Biden-Harris. Attacking Biden like this is simply playing into Trump's hands. Hint Hint

That worked because (1) there were more than two major parties and (2) it was a runoff election and so the third place could be seen and those people could then switch to voting for 2nd place. The US has only two major parties. And there is no run off.

also Trump's supporters have no idea what he's saying half the time! no one does! there's no need to overthink this. Trump is popular because he channels vibes-based grievances and wants to punish those groups who his supporters feel have wronged them. That's it.
