i think this is right as far as it goes, but illustrates why his posture on court reform, ethics investigations, etc, is inadequate. the norms-respecting response to this insane power grab is to put together a package of legislation to reinstate the proper constitutional order, not "do nothing"

I liked the "thanks for the power, I'm directing the FBI to immediately and aggressively investigate all foreign influence and all financial leverage on every Senator and Member of Congress, starting with those on key committees. Also financial secrecy is gone now, by executive order.

Yeah, the correct response to yesterday was "This was a lawless and constitutionally nonsensical decision. I don't believe that, as President, I'm allowed to just break any law I like. That's why we need to win in Nov, to take the strong steps the constitution actually allows to reform the court."
