Hah! The Tories used "energy independence" to justify further licenses in the north Sea to "pump every drop". The basin is in sharp decline - as is our climate. It's not "our" oil and gas unless it's nationalised. Source doesn't cut a penny in price.

Do policemen look a bit young, as they ask you to pull over? In the UK, my MP (elected Member of Parliament) is one my children's school-friends........ and I'm fine with that. He's a grand lad, comes from "Labour Party royalty" and I have high hopes off him.

I voted Conservative in past elections and voted Labour this one because of Johnson & Truss. But if the narrative becomes "we lost as not right wing enough let's become Reform" I'll be voting Labour for next elections too.
