If you want a good example of how "free speech" is often used as a banner for censoring speech, ask yourself how a corporation can give untold sums of money to super PACs because "money is speech" but you can't donate to a bail fund to to literally free protesters from jail

see also that conservative christians can't even be compelled to have to take an action saying they do NOT want to provide birth control, because free speech, but you can force ob/gyn doctors to speak medically unsound things they are morally opposed to, because free speech

It does SEEM like the logic of one would inescapably apply to the other--if it's an excuse to get to the conclusion (more or less) "corporations cannot have political contribution limits" then it SURELY has to get to "individuals cannot have bail 1/2
