Yep. iden's inability to step away from his bipartisan fantasy that things would return to the 1980s or 1990s has been a huge problem for him throughout, and he hasn't met the moment on the threats posed by Trump and the courts. Doesn't have a goddamn thing to do with cognitive decline.

I wouldn't be as worried if pushing out Biden meant Harris, but it's clear that the people pushing hardest for this result also don't want Harris, but instead a magic fantasy candidate to be named later.

Yeah - we've lived with my dad's dementia for about 7 years now, and it's rough as hell and having it be fodder for jokes from fuckwits makes me furious, and I assume it's the same for you with him being targeted for the stutter, and I'm sorry.

i've been very comforted by the fact that Trump basically stripped the party of money and a ground game just to fund his legal bills, and that letting people like Turning Point run your GOTV effort would be a disaster, but I didn't expect the Dems to lose their minds on this.

I think that is what irritates me about the Weller Modfather post-Council career is a lot of it is kinda boring. His vocals on the Stone Foundation stuff, on the other hand, is mod/Northern Soul perfection.

I was furious The Jam broke up and will go to my grave mad about how Weller handled it in particular but I think SC is a better next step than what basically becomes Weller just doing mod stuff solo and with much longer songs.
