What is even scarier is it has manifested differently in all of us. It hit my parents the hardest but it was less intense for my brother, his wife and her parents. We are fairly certain my little nephew caught it, just days after his first vaccine at 6 months.

What was surprising is we had no idea, despite our diligence, that this was covid because it didn’t present in the way we’ve been told it does. My brother has a young kid, his family gets sick all the time, this 100% looked like a cold when symptoms first showed up.

I wasn't being selfish. I was using everything I could to hang on but it was like being on fire. Every waking moment i would cry. Every day. 10 out of 10 pain. I would get visions of being on a torturers table during the inquisition. I felt like I was full of hot knives and acid. Selfish.

It's also why I get mad when people call suicidal people selfish or stupid. I would chant the names of people I love to myself as I rocked back and forth on the floor. "You can't die. She would be sad. He would be sad. I can't yet. There's gotta be options."

And I mean like. The pain was so bad I would be on suicide hotlines sometimes daily. Begging them to help me hang on one more day. I was looking up countries that let you die. I was looking up places that I could jump from. I had PLANS. it was bad. It was really bad.

It's really shocking and horrible when you realize you can be in a huge amount of pain and the people you go to for help will roll their eyes at you. Think of you as someone they HATE. not just that they don't believe you they HATE YOU. How do you convince someone else you are in real pain??

Before they figured out I had endometriosis the doctors would just roll their eyes at me. I had a full panic attack break down in the parking lot of a doctors office that refused to believe I was in pain, wouldn't even examine me. I kept crying out"I just don't know what to do anymore" over and over
