Chipping Norton disowns him - he didn't ask if he could use our name in his title. And he lives in Dean anyway! Chippy is now in a *Labour* constituency, so even worse!

Probably as part of a huge overhaul to make Parliament fit for the third millennium For a start, a written constitution - can’t rely on *good chaps* any more HoL reform Location & design of new building Sensible working hours No PMQ but fortnightly Scrutiny Committee … and 1000 other improvements

Let's have an honest conversation about the election result: No party should secure 63.2% of MPs on 33.7% of the popular vote. And that's as true for Labour as it was for the Tories. shorturl.at/Yl3FK

Ok, a country is not like a transnational company, but then neither are a household budget

Running a country is like a household budget, very much in the same way running a transnational company is.

Unfortunately FPTP is like The One Ring of UK politics: whoever wins does a Boromir/Isildur and thinks "Maybe we shouldn't destroy it, maybe we should use its terrible power for good?"

However the Tories changed the Mayoral and PCC election systems without the consent of the electorate. People don't understand FPTP, beyond knowing that their vote counts for nothing in many seats

OK UK, today's the day. Remember, the Tories don't want you to vote against them. Take your ID with you and vote. For the people who are choosing to heat or eat. For those who died alone while they partied. For the grift, the culture wars, Windrush. (1/2)

Labour on course for biggest majority since 1832.

BUT only if you get out and vote.

There is no room for complacency.

Ridiculously, you now need ID to vote in the UK, because Boris Johnson tried to rig elections in his party’s favour. I’ll be putting mine in my bag tonight so I don’t forget it, or have a panic trying to find it, in the morning. And then I’m going to goddamn well VOTE.

Carol Vorderman believes getting the Tories out on July 4th is a, 'once in a lifetime opportunity!'

Is she right? Well yes, she's spot-on.

FPTP has been the Tories route to election dominance for decades. By working together tactically, we can get the Tories out. #GTTO

Sunak’s travel status today shows just how desperate the UK Conservatives have got. He’s trying to firm up support in four once super-safe seats: Witney, Bicester and Woodstock, Henley and Thame, and Didcot and Wantage.

Yes, when people say 'they're all the same', I don't believe that is true, as when there are new Labour ministers in place in a few days time I can't believe that they wouldn't have a profound desire to prove themselves and to really want to make a difference. It's a small reason for optimism

If this is you, then wake the fuck up.
A Labour victory is only certain if you get out and vote.
The Tories don't just need to be defeated, they need to be crushed and buried so deep it'll take them a generation to recover.
