I guess I *could* go to the do-jang for an impromptu workout, or play Ringfit at home, or stretch, or go for a walk, or do literally anything to improve my fitness. OR I could spend three hours on the couch Googling local gyms and personal trainers. I seriously need an accountability buddy here.

Finally started @premeemohamed.com's "The Butcher of the Forest" last night, and I'm glad I waited to savor this one. I picked it up in part because Premee seems neat and in part because the cover is GORGEOUS, but I knew from the first page I'd fall in love with it. Can't wait to read more tonight.

If I were successful enough to make $1 million/year, I’d be more than happy to pay an extra 4% tax to support schools and stuff. Like, why would I not? At that level, what would an extra $40K do for me, except maybe make more money? (Note: I am not an economist and my wife does my taxes, so...)

We use “like a banshee” as a phrase to indicate an extreme level of whatever-it-is. “Scream like a banshee” is the original; we say “hurt like a banshee,” “snored like a banshee,” “ran like a banshee…”

If a stranger follows me and does not list writing, gaming, or SFF in their bio, I block. Or if their pic shows them in camo or with a flag behind them. (I hate that the image of the US flag makes me immediately suspect that the poster's values are likely to be diametrically opposed to mine. ☹️ )
