βDeclines in public trust in science are no accident, itβs the result of deliberate actions by bad actors. Science has become politicized. The media has become politicized. We donβt have shared sources of information anymore.β

(Despite this, we all have trouble finding things constantly. Catalogs take maintenance and when you're moving, it's rare to have enough time to double-check the box contents is accurate to what's written down.)

I grew up moving a lot. When my parents settled down after my dad's retirement, the family considered unpacking for the first time but realised we have no idea how "normal" people store stuff. Plus, we use a numbered apple box system with a catalogβhow would we find anything if it was unpacked?

*waves as an Oz transplant who is currently in the USA for a few months* My feed is quieter when I'm not in European/USA timezones, but my network does skew western. I think my posts get more eastern timezone engagement when I'm down under.

I'd like a physical copy of my #PhD thesis, but don't know the best printing option. ProQuest is offering for $75 (incl shipping).
Anyone have experience with different companies offering physical thesis printing? No time urgency, shipping to the US.

Yes, they were lovely! Especially when a community college grad in regalia caught my eye and we called congrats to each other from the far ends of the bus.

My undergrad research was in a National Park that my college had a relationship with. I found the NPS to be more strict than the NFS, so would approach early and with lots of flexibility in mind.

In my local National Forest (not the same, but also gov't), we have a science liaison. I contacted them to help set up a Master's student project permit for a labmate. For multi-year projects, I would contact them earlier in the project planning process.
