Here's a couple of recent pics, both are planetary nebulae. On the left is the famous Ring Nebula (M57) in Lyra. On the right is M27, the Dumbbell Nebula (I prefer to call it the Apple Core though). Both are bubbles of gas being given off by a dying star. M27 looks larger, but its just closer. 🔭

It's easy to get beaten down by the negative around climate change and precarious nature of our precious Earth. We must always balance this with WHY we care so much. When the planet can put a show like this, it's a reminder to try even harder to keep it. I stood crying taking these photos

What this article leaves out is that if you hand your unlocked phone to a police officer, they can legally search it. Unless companies develop a method that allows you to show officers insurance cards and driver license without unlocking the rest of your phone, don't.

Amazing! There's so much more to know about human cultures, societies and ancient civilizations. I look forward to similar findings in Africa and Asia. If the discovery of cities in the Amazon is any indication, we have terribly underestimated humans ability to adapt to challenging environments.
