A tale of two newspapers, and two very different decisions.

I dumped the one on the right, and subscribed to the one on the left, yesterday.

As ever, the New York Times is *NOT* worthy of the seriousness that people treat it with. Any actual journalism from that paper is accidental.

Below the response of my historian classmate to this tale of two newspapers; we both have subscribed for more than four decades. I am still in, but as of this morning she is out:

If the left truly had a paper to mirror those on the right, the story leads would read something like: Trump says Supreme Court issued a 'spanking' to Jack Smith - Trump did not commit rape or fraud after the Supreme Court announced its decision (as far as we know)."

if biden's "blistering attack" on the supreme court doesn't have a body count it wasn't nearly blistering enough

I get the distinction here, but also, if Biden wanted to control these headlines, he could have done a lot more to do so. "Biden calls for an expansion of the court" or "Biden calls for Roberts to be impeached" would have been a lot more difficult to manipulate.

It’s really really really difficult to think NYT isn’t salty about whatever perceived slight they received from the Biden admin

@nytimes.com is no longer hiding that they work for Trump. I don’t consider anyone working for them a legitimate journalist. At this point, even if your for their puzzle section, you’re actively helping bring about fascism.

So WaPo is walking into the light. Good. They have made a lot of questionable editorial decisions lately too, and I wasn't at all sure which way it would go with this. It's better we have one than none!
