put it another way - I think under corbyn a yougov poll said 5% of labour members said they voted for another party than labour. among the "core labour" group I imagine it would be more apathetic in turnout and support than that. activists and donors are very weird

I don't think labour activists hate labour as much as is made out online. Most labour people like the NHS and Attlee and the Open University. Second I would actually argue that even core labour voters tend to be driven by similar things as swing voters.

The issue with Google - I work in Google search marketing and analytics - is that it is dependent on large amounts of knowledge and also the sales driven referrals of as large as audience as possible. case for being a natural monopoly or digital infra. We could write about in TSR
