We got a (discredited) inquiry into imagined political influence by environmental groups. Meanwhile, here's an oil exec EXPLAINING ON TAPE how they manipulate the media, civil servants, politicians & indigenous leaders. So… when are the hearings?

That things would change for better, not for worse
But now the place I'm born and grown is pillaged like the end of Rome
It feels just like we're going ninety in reverse"

Fascism made deals with capital in Italy, Spain, Portugal, Germany.
It made similar deals with religion.
Facism promises both a role in its grand faux-renewal of society.

No, no aversion. Observational. Aversion is reserved for cilantro. But there's lamb fat that sticks and coats the insides of mouth. Similar to how peanut butter can. There are better food experiences.

It's not generally eaten here except in times of scarcity. Historically bear grease was used to discourage mosquitos. Not exactly repellent. Fly paper on your skin. The smell was extra. Before DEET repellents. Consider: Alaska highway construction.

Dismayed to find myself thinking like my father did. He & family arrived in Canada 1942 after fleeing Germany to Indonesia/ Singapore in 1938. He echoed those who say "when people show & say who they are and their intensions, believe them, and prevent them".
(A kind gentle man pushed to think THAT)

Talk to some dog people. They start a week or 2 before, demonstrating to the geese it isn't a Good Place. It doesn't have cost anything or be professional. Just get a half-dozen (or more) dogs & owners to spend 20 mins daily chasing the "cobra chickens" away.

Hmm. 1848 & brutal supressions of all the hopeful revolutions in European capitals come to mind. (Good soundtrack with Les Misérables). Was France free after 1918? Mais non. The 1941 fall of the 3rd Republic was worse. Then Algeria & end of the Fourth.
Look to France only for food & wine perhap.

The reason tech corporations accumulate power is so that they can be insulated from the consequences of the harms they wreak upon the rest of us...in order to externalize the costs of running a good system, reaping the profits of scale while we pay its costs.

The diff for France was conquest by Germany. The history doesn't quite rhyme. The fall of the Weimar Republic is a closer rhyme but for the economics and street fighting by private armies.

We're children of a common mother & father we Canadians. Your influence is great. Your politics are not great. How cld you get to point of chosing between rule of law & a personality? Please reassure me you'll figure it out & be alright. Like you've done in the past..

And mildly think further that it's easier if everyone thinks no one should have the right to be a jerk and all should have empathy.

13°C here right now. Rain. Again. (55°F). Lake's level is up 5½" from 4 wks ago. Climate change producing the heat south and east is pushing cold Arctic air south into the west along with the jet stream. The Arctic should be frozen this time of year. It isn't. Warm Arctic means cold here.

Great plains and mountains to the Great Divide continuous with that ecology. First Nations (inconsistently) inform that beavers flooded so much, prairies and valleys were half bog. This is info from Canada but continuous with that ecology. Beavers were extirpated ~18th century.

Western Canada, 54° north, RN we're near Saskatchewan-Manitoba, was 8°C overnight (46°F). Frost 2 nights ago. IIUC open Arctic Ocean (abnormal, shld be frozen) pushes the jet stream south & we're getting Arctic air. This is part of the cause of the trapped hot air to the south and east- "heat dome"

I'm of the opinion- T2d is genetic susceptibility in many cases with the wrong culture of food, activity, stresses. Doesn't explain all, explains much. Some colleagues emphasize the genetics excessively IMO, discounting epigenetic influences on downstream gene expression.

"Not even wrong" with colleagues means "correct but misses too much". Thick skinned professionals. Never intended personally. It cuts to the chase. Sorry it offended you. My bad. Wrong context- too few characters to explain.
My general intent is always to give knowledge away, what I know.
