How hard have you tried? The “real world value” is easily understood by anyone who lives in a country with a rapidly inflating currency (Venezuela, Lebanon, Argentina, Egypt, Syria, etc.) or under a dictatorship (about half the world’s population) where the gov’t restricts citizens’ transactions.

Wrong. It was never abandoned. Simply, the errors of previous attempts at digital money failed because they relied on a central authority (e.g. see projects like E-Gold and B-Money). One of Bitcoin’s unique properties is its DEcentralized nature. For more info: THE GENESIS BOOK by Aaron Van Wirdum

You must not be fully aware of the munitions’ capabilities. Some of the larger ordinance is designed to penetrate down, yes. But it’s difficult to do that EXCLUSIVELY, because… physics.
