As for the original tweet, there are two things I think the Western Mystery Tradition doesn't discuss enough: 1. Non-heteronormative sex magick techniques (even heteronormative practices for straight women are neglected). 2. The philosophical underpinnings of it all.

Crowley discusses this in Magick Without Tears. I've often gone without tools, even when I possessed them. Thumb between forefinger and middle finger makes both a good wand and dagger. The only tool anyone really ever needs is a record.

We so often hear complains about how perverse a 20 year age gap is when it's an older man in his 40s with a younger woman in her 20s because we don't think women in their 20s can make decisions for themselves. How about when the man is in his 60s and she's in her 30s? Is she still too dumb?
