I'm seeing so many Republican women talking about a national abortion ban as a Democratic 'scare tactic' - they're repeating the GOP talking point that they'll never have enough votes for a federal ban. So let me tell you why that doesn't matter & they can ban abortion anyway

The first thing another Trump administration would do is replace the head of the FDA and reverse approval of abortion medication. Right off the bat, they're doing away with 63% of abortions.

I'm pretty sure Republican women know that electing [sic] Trump means a nationwide abortion ban. They're just lying to themselves, because that's easier than considering the possibility of NOT voting for Trump.

Since when do Republicans think they have to have the most votes in order to get their way?

If Republican women are talking like this, they're trying to rationalize voting *for* Trump. This is how people reason about taking actions against their own self interest.

Remember when talking about overturning Roe was a Democratic scare tactic because it'd never actually happen? Because the justices assured everyone it was settled law? Because no Republican would actually push for that because then they'd lose the wedge-issue?

Yup. And the right to vote. Instead the gerontocracy missed its opportunity to save reproductive rights and well, democracy. But hey. The filibuster survives. That will save us from Trump2

All the more reason to elect Biden, flip the House and hold the Senate.
