He is literally a grandpa. He was my MOC while I was in Austin, I voted for him a number of times, and Iām fairly familiar with his positions. He is generally quite progressive but has a hell of ego that pushes him to speak before heās really thought it though ā IMO - this is one of those times.

I wonāt challenge anyoneās choices in this election - itās difficult. But Rep. Doggett wasnāt saying Biden should drop out for a third-party candidate - he wanted him to cede to a more-electable Dem. Which, for an elected Dem in office since 1994, is a profoundly stupid thing to say to the press.

I havenāt heard any third-party strategy at this point that keeps Trump out of the White House. Iām no big Biden fan, but as someone whoās lived most of her life in Texas, Iām a leftist who votes with the intention of less harm coming to the most people.

The only candidate I have ever gone door to door for in my life was EW in 2020. The only negative encounter I had was an older white male dem voter yelling at me āshe canāt win!ā She could have. I think weād be in a very different place in 2024.

Most of my family is in STL and yes this. Boeing absorbed McDonnell Douglass (STL founded) a couple decades ago and itās very much a ācompany town.ā I think STL orgs are so strapped for cash also, itās probably a more challenging decision to turn down corporate sponsors.

Four years ago, Psychological Science published a paper which used a ludicrously poor quality dataset. That paper was retracted, partly in order to avoid āprolonging the useā of the data but the dataset still thrives in the academic literature. Read our article & š§µ for examples
