I made a free zine dedicated to the best place to watch pro wrestling, Korakuen Hall in Tokyo. It's 64 pages of photos I've taken from 2019-2023, & one page with a match guide. In between that first run and the last, I got serious about photos. I hope you dig it

feels like one of those situations with maryland where if you fuck up so bad my vote actually matters, then in a macrolevel my vote doesn't actually matter, because the other guy is at baseline 350 EV

not sure whether "democratic donors positively described joe biden as yoda" or "that Hot Star Wars Guy you're horny for is probably darth plagueis the wise" is a funnier post-cultural-saturation Star Wars bit, and we got both of them on the same day

ME1 garrus is the cop on the edge constantly talking about his daddy; ME2 garrus is Fuckboy Punisher, which is somehow much more interesting

that said i remember thinking clearly and distinctly during the middle of the cutscene that plays in citadel after the party if you've romanced kaiden, "maybe i've done too many playthroughs of this franchise"

people forget how much of a carry job wrex had to do for that ME1 cast. it wasn't just the two human mopes; both garrus and liara were losers in the first one

imagine you eventually get jaded after a few years on the beat and only get up for the really interestingly stupid looking ones. guy who's put in his 20 probably gets that ten thousand foot stare when he sees another vegas postcard

guns are probably a bad example as a general category here, actually, because some are incredibly accurate and some are incredibly Intentionally Inaccurate while preserving the feel/vibe because they don't want to pay the gun companies a licensing fee. point stands for bigger miltech (missiles, etc)

for instance: in the last 5-6 years, call of duty's guns have gotten incredibly high-fidelity and accurate, especially w/r/t military models and weapons civilians don't have ready access to. the reason for that is probably the intuitive one: the institution with those weapons gave them direct access

and the "what you CAN'T say" is never like, "invading iraq is bad," it's "oh we showed you how badass this helicopter is, and we'll let you use some for your movie, but this, this, and this? those can't be in the movie, they're super duper secret." now the creatives are in a special, elevated clique

the way this usually works in hollywood is that the military brings in all the creatives -- there, actors directors and producers, here narrative, gameplay, and art leads -- shows them a bunch of cool shit, gives them access to a bunch of cool shit, wows them, then says "here's what you CAN'T say"

"a bunch of colonels in a pentagon task group have input into and veto power over elements of the yearly call of duty campaign" is a very flip and reductive way to discuss the intertwinement of military "social ops" and coordination with cultural industries, and also is likely more true than not

"there were two matches that didn't belong in the show and they had kazuchika okada pinning hiroshi tanahashi and tetsuya naito pinning jon moxley" would be a very funny thing to send back in time two or three years about forbidden door 2024

what endeared it to me was outside the knicks hardcores that tried to get it started multiple times, everyone there forgot about her boston affiliations until the middle when vaquer started threatening, and then went "wait a minute--"

from recent results it feels like the most likely outcome is there's gonna be one judge in a small jurisdiction somewhere in north dakota who throws out every reg that comes in front of him and suddenly every case about industrial waste gets filed there

love tetsuya naito. understand why new japan wants the belt on him. mox tried as hard as he could and that was the result. naito locked up trying to hit destino and mox had to reset him and guide him to the finish. shades of what ospreay had to do to get him through the G1 last year.
