Our system definitely risks turning doctors~ into unfeeling zombies. The only solution I know for that is to change doctors, but that's much easier said than done.

Truth is, sometimes antidepressants can make you feel zombie-ish.. but that's not the goal and if you're feeling that way just ask your doctor about adjusting things. I had to deal with that as a kid when they tried antidepressants off-label to treat my ADHD.

Brain chemistry is unique, so brain meds are kinda hard to get the first shot. Keep logs of how you feel if you can and talk to your doctor about it. You could get lucky and feel good on the first try, but you also might need the doc to adjust dose, timing, or what med you get.

Part of what puts you in said box isn't just the opinion, but the desire to express it amongst the onslaught of blind hatred fueled by bigotry is a huge red flag. Disliking something like Acolyte for reasons of substance (pacing) isn't a problem, but throwing your hat in with toxic "fans" is.

I knew a cardiologist who could diagnose a rhythm at a glance, drove a McLaren, and was trialing a treatment using radiation therapy with an oncologist to kill specific individual heart cells to stop bad rhythms... Computer mice were a mystery for him.

There were 16 trans youth suicides after gender affirming care restrictions were implemented in the UK in 2020 compared with only 1 in the 7 years prior. Staff at the NHS attempted to cover it up. Hilary Cass knew but minimized what was happening. This is a massive scandal. Cass lied, kids died.

I used to know someone who regularly made that claim, had no response when I pointed out the temperature difference between inside and outside at my home, and then would refuse to internalize it so we'd be right back at the same conversation some time in the future.
