Today's adorable and uncommon moth is the Forest Tent Caterpillar Moth (Malacosoma disstria)

More likely to get M. californicum or even M. constrictum - but going M. disstria b/c warmer orange-brown and lack a light component of the forewing transverse lines.

For my situation..it wasn’t even the honesty. I literally wasn’t considered or acknowledged at all. To literally be talked through after it was me who handed them the keys. I was even prepped, had the parts and rough labor costs roughly estimated before I got there. 😞 It sucks.

My favorite is when I took MY jeep to a shop that I perfectly knew what was wrong with it. My partner went with me (ya know..I couldn’t drive myself) THEY TALKED THROUGH ME TO HIM WHO WAS STANDING BEHIND ME. Guy LITERALLY went on his tiptoes to look at my partner. 🤬

I used to get sir more than m’am when my hair was pixie cut. The MOMENT they see the chest they are like AAAAAAAAAA and I just chuckle. Little do they know how the chaos I bring in just existing brings me a slight joy.

This is the smallest annoyance but happens regularly enough in any situation where it’s typically predominantly Masc that it gets to me sometimes. Fishing, vape shops, dealerships, anything that isn’t a home goods or shopping. Just part of having lady body.

Going into a vape shop as afab: “These are what the ladies like” -ask questions about quality performance, etc. “This is what other ladies like, you’ll like it too.” 🙄 *sighs and buys the thing he suggests after taking a small glance and itll work* (The guy was VERY nice otherwise tho)

My youngest son (who is five) recently started saying “I hate you, Daddy!” every time I ask him to do something he doesn’t want to do. I redirect him by asking, “Do you really hate me, or do you just not want to do the thing?” Now, he says, “I love you, Daddy. I HATE YOUR IDEAS!!!” 🤣
